Jean E. Pendziwol's books for children have been awarded the Governor General's Literary award, the TD Canadian Children's Literature Award, have been finalists for the Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award, selected by the Junior Library Guild and recognized by SCBWI. They've been charming children and parents alike since the publication of No Dragon's for Tea: Fire Safety for Kids (and Dragons) in 1999. Jean's children's work is represented by Olga Filina at 5 Otter Literary.

Picture books include I Found Hope in a Cherry Tree, the award wining Once Upon a Northern Night, The Red Sash and Marja's Skis. ​Poetic, lyrical and beautifully illustrated.

Important safety information is presented in a manner that is engaging, entertaining and accessible for young children who can follow along as the Dragon learns about fire safety, water safety, stranger safety and bullying.
